Hey folks, I am Gary :Uncle G" Hoppe and I am bringing my collection to you to help build your collection. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a husband and a father of five amazing kids. I worked in the hospitality business through high school and into my early 20's. After my wife and I had our third child, I became an at home dad. During my years of being an at home dad, I also took care of a few other kids for their parents could work. During the period that I was an at home dad, I also did my apprenticeship to become a tattoo artist. I ended up tattooing for over a decade and it was challenging for a dad of 5. I eventually realized that the tattoo business wasn't for myself or for a dad of 5 kids. After tattooing, I went to work for a residential painting company. I started at the bottom of the company and eventually became the lead foreman.

In the spring of 2019, my family and I were on our way back from our kids playing lacrosse out of town.  On the drive home we suddenly were hit by a freak snowstorm. Long story short, we ended up being in an accident with a semi that jack knifed into our car.  My wife and 3 of my sons walked away from the accident with minimal injuries.  Unfortunately for me, I ended up being crushed inside of our vehicle.  I ended up with an assortment of injuries and spent some time in the hospital.  I should have died that day, but I was lucky...we all are lucky to have survived that day.  The fact that all 5 of us survived that day is where the name Lucky 5 comes from.  This is why I named my company Lucky 5 Collectibles and Products LLC.

The accident left me unable to work and laid up in bed for the next couple of years.  I would spend the next 18 months in physical therapy rehabbing injuries, learning how to walk and balance again and learning how to manage the Traumatic Brain Injury I received.   During that period my wife and I spent hours watching and

getting more involved in Sports Card Breaks.  Honestly the breaks ended up being one of the few things that kept our minds off all the crap we had to deal with. 

I bought some Pokémon cards instead of sports cards one day and being an artist, I fell in love with all the art on the cards.  I started buying more and more products and enjoyed learning about all the different Pokémon.  I use to play the online game and I really enjoyed it.  I haven't started playing it again sense they changed it up, but I plan to.  I also plan on eventually playing in some of our local tournaments and getting more involved all together with the actual game.

This brings me to today and the creation of my own collectible company online.  I am still to this day dealing with my traumatic brain injury and other injuries.  Needless to say, I am unable to go back to work, but I needed something to keep me busy, something to look forward to everyday, something to help myself feel like I

have a bit of my life back.  What better than to build a business around something I love and enjoy doing.  A business that I can operate from home and with limited amounts of task that I must get done each day.
